One of my recent projects was an illustration of a sock for a product brochure. Yes, it is a simple object to draw, but it becomes more complex when the final illustration is printed on three separate transparent layers.
The main feature of this illustration was showing how the sock absorbs moisture from the skin and the circulation that allows the foot to “breathe”.
The final technical illustration was completed entirely in vector format. The big challenge in working with vectors was creating textures through the use of brushes and custom-made swatches to create a more “realistic” look to the sock.
Thanks to Simon for making this project such a “breeze”!
